GospelFest 2019 - Black Mountain, NC

GospelFest 2019 Presented by The Original Thomas Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Restoration Corporation                                                                       Please join us in Black Mountain, North Carolina as we                                  GIVE THANKS & PRAISE GOD                                                                    through music from regional choirs, performers, and musicians! GospelFest 2019 is presented by the The Original Thomas Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Restoration Corporation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Black Mountain, NC. Proceeds from the concert will support the organization and its Preservation Fund, to provide upkeep and maintenance of an historic "little church" that is deeply rooted in the African-American community of Western NC. In addition, educational and social justice events and programs have begun to educate everyone as to the value of this sacred space.  In 1892, freed slaves built the first “Tom’s Chapel,” with the current building dating to 1922. Serving as the mother church for the A.M.E. Zion and other denominations in the Valley, it’s been restored to its original splendor.
