“Invisibility, elderly cats, and swimming raccoons: An irreverent look at aging and its surprises”

Aging is full of challenges, many of which can be made lighter by laughter. That’s the approach taken by local actor and award-winning playwright Janet Schlapkohl, who understands the power of humor in dealing with the life changes that come with growing older. Schlapkohl weaves her own experiences as the daughter of aging parents and spouse of a large-animal veterinarian into a funny, edgy, yet loving look at the so-called golden years, tarnish and all. Featuring a musical prelude by the Mektoub trio and reception with refreshments after the performance. Sponsored by TRAIL of Johnson County.
