      Doing Good: The Role of AI in Non Profit Fundraising

      It is estimated non-profit organizations nationally contribute 5.3% to the national GDP, employ over 15M professionals and serve countless people in the United States and around the world. In Santa Barbara county over 1300 non-profit organizations provide resources and a wide variety of services to every sector of society. Non-profit organizations are a critical partner in helping ensure every community cares for all of it citizens and is working to build a better future.  Many non-profit organizations have small teams fundraising teams and don't enjoy the success they need to finance the costs of running their non-profit organization. The result can mean important services are not being delivered to people that need it most. Often at the core of this problem is the cost and complexity of building and managing a traditional fundraising team. This includes fundraisers, researchers, marketing, data services, reporting, leadership, event coordinators, writers and the list goes on.    AI holds the potential to solve many of these issues helping lowering the cost of finding individuals who are likely to support the non-profit organization and to intelligently manage the daily activity of fundraisers.
