      Navigating Grief: A Journaling and Meditation Workshop

      In this three-hour workshop, Diana Raab and Radhule Weininger will guide you together in a process that includes writing as well as meditation. Whether you’ve lost a loved one, are dealing with an illness or are transitioning into a new life path, meditation and journaling can help you on your journey. Join us in this sacred space for an inspiring 3-hour workshop.  Learn how meditation and journaling can help ease the pain of grief or loss.  Limited to 20 participants. Diana Raab, M.F.A. Ph.D. is a memoirist, poet, essayist, blogger, and speaker. Her latest book, “Writing for Bliss: A Seven-Step Plan for Telling Your Story and Transforming Your Life,” was named by Poets & Writers, as “one of the best books for writers.” She’s an award-winning author of 9 books, over 500 articles and poems, and editor of two anthologies, Writers on the Edge: 22 Writers Speak About Addiction and Dependency, and Writers and Their Notebooks. Raab’s two memoirs are Regina’s Closet: Finding My Grandmother’s Secret Journal and Healing With Words: A Writer’s Cancer Journey. She has 4 poetry collection. Visit Radhule Weininger, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, and teacher of Buddhist meditation and Buddhist psychology, is the guiding teacher of the One Dharma Sangha. She is mentored by Jack Kornfield in her teaching and by Joanna Macy in her interest in Engaged Buddhism. With Michael Kearney, she founded the non-profit Mindful Heart Programs and teaches at SB High Schools and holds 2-year Mindfulness Facilitator Training at UCSB and in the SB Community. Besides regular weekly meditation groups, she organizes the Solidarity and Compassion townhall meeting.
